Doctor's prescription

No radiological examination can be performed without a prescription or request from a doctor.

What you need to do:

  1. Contact your general practitioner or specialist
  2. Request a prescription/request for the desired test.
  3. Come back then to make an appointment online.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, X-ray or CBCT examinations are not possible due to radiation risks; X-rays and CBCTs use ionizing radiation. This can be harmful to the unborn baby.

Contact your referring physician first for alternative examinations (e.g. ultrasound or MRI).

Abdominal examination

Does your examination involve an ultrasound of the abdomen, liver, gallbladder, spleen, or pancreas ? Then you must be fasting for at least 6 hours :

  • Do not eat or drink anything except water
  • Water is allowed
  • Medication can be taken with water.

You do not need to be fasting for examinations of the kidneys, shoulder, thyroid, etc.

Blood thinners

During infiltration , you must be careful about which blood thinners you take. Important to know:

  • (Cardio)aspirin (ASA): NO problem ✓
  • Subcutaneous heparin or LMWH: NO problem ✓
  • Other blood thinners: Call 03 320 57 70 first ☎
